A 90-Day Private Practice Marketing Plan

Ninety days is enough to take a practice from invisible to inquiry-generating, if the order is right. The exact week-by-week plan we run with new clients.

Most marketing fails in private practice for one reason: everything is attempted at once, nothing gets finished, and momentum dies by week three.

This plan sequences the work. Three phases, thirty days each, every task building on the last.

Days 1–30: Foundation

  • Week 1: Positioning: define niche, ideal client, and one clear promise. Audit current online presence.
  • Week 2: Website: fix or rebuild the core pages: home, about, one page per specialty, fees, booking.
  • Week 3: Local groundwork: complete Google Business Profile, align name-address-phone everywhere, set analytics.
  • Week 4: Directory pass: one strong profile per platform, each pointing to your site.

Days 31–60: Visibility

  • Week 5–6: Publish location + specialty pages ("anxiety therapy in [city]") targeting your two most valuable searches.
  • Week 7: First cornerstone article answering a real client question; share to your network.
  • Week 8: Review engine: ethical ask-flows for colleagues and professional contacts; respond to every review.

Days 61–90: Growth

  • Week 9–10: If volume is needed now: launch a tightly-matched Google Ads campaign to your best landing page.
  • Week 11: Referral network refresh: a short, warm update to physicians and fellow clinicians.
  • Week 12: Review the numbers (inquiries/week, cost per inquiry, consult-to-client rate) and set the next quarter’s plan.

The metrics that matter

Track four numbers weekly: website visitors, inquiries, consults booked, clients started. Everything else is commentary. If inquiries rise but clients do not, the leak is response speed or consult conversion, not marketing volume.

Frequently asked questions

In the channels built for speed, yes: by day 90 your campaigns, profiles and directories are live and working, with inquiries starting to flow. SEO is the long game (meaningful results typically begin around six months), but by day 90 its foundation is laid and compounding.
